There are not very many wardrobe pieces as versatile as a t-shirt. Finding the right tee is not as easy as many people think because there are so many styles, cuts and materials to choose from. The same style of tee can work beautifully under a blazer for work or a night out, or with your cut off shorts or jeans for a relaxed weekend look. Current Elliott Perfect V-Neck

In my top 5 of favorite brands for t–shirts is this cute V–neck by Current Elliott. Sits perfect below the waist and is made from soft cotton. The pricing can be steep but you need at least 1 tee for your closet and you can wear it with anything so you get your money’s worth.

Madewell Whisper Cotton V-Neck Pocket Tee

Madewell is at the top of my list for my favorite tee. It’s made from a lightweight slub cotton, so it’s super soft. I live in these t–shirts all summer long and in the fall too under a cool leather jacket.

Everlane Cotton V

I love the Supima cotton tee from Everlane. The cut on this t-shirt looks great on any body and the prices are not too high. This brand is great to wear with jeans because it comes down long enough to tuck in and still look cute. If you chose to wear it untucked, it sits in the right spot on the jeans so it doesn’t ride up.

Stateside Crew Neck Tee

If you are looking for a crew neck instead of the V, check out Stateside Crew Neck Tees. They also are made from 100% supima cotton which makes them super comfortable. 

James Perse

So my all time favorite t-shirt is from the brand James Perse. The styles of their t–shirts are universally flattering for every body type. They are not cheap but as a mother always says, you get what you pay for and every women should own at least one of their tees. Super comfy and awesomely soft.

Rag & Bone

Anything by Rag & Bone is made with the best materials and stitched perfectly. This is a brand that will stand the test of time and never go out of style. Their Camo tees are adorable too.

Hanes for Men V-Neck

The t-shirt I live in most is the Big and Tall V–neck for men by Hanes. Yes they are made for men but we ladies like them too. I wear the tee for lounging around the house, to sleep in, with a cute pair of jeans and to the gym. I buy them in packs because I wear them so much. These t-shirts are soft and work great over a pair of leggings for running to the store or just lounging around the house. 

Free People

I absolutely love everything Free People and their oversized tee is a staple in my closet. It goes with anything from your favorite leggings to skinny jeans if you want to dress it up. I love that the back comes down lower than the front of the shirt.
