What do we think of when we hear the word mom? How long do you have? A mom is strong, hardworking, loyal, nonjudgmental, giving, kind, loving, nurturing, sweet, blunt, honest, and always there when you need her.

Nothing breaks my heart more than someone who doesn’t have a wonderful mother in this world. I truly believe even if they have left this earth, they will always remain by our side. Moms will continue to be our guardian angels until we join them up above so don’t stop remembering them on Mother’s Day.

Krista’s Mom

I know I have the most giving and loving mom around. I may be a little biased but I’ll argue anyone to find a better mother. Believe me, she has put up with a lot in my many years on this earth. From running away from home multiple times before the age of 5, picking the neighbors flowers, squirting my papaw between the eyes with a water hose and breaking his glasses, moving around the country more times than I can count, to totaling my next door neighbors car at 4 years old. She has seen it all. Thank you mom for always being there for my sister and I and continuing to love us unconditionally.

Love you ❤

Lesa’s Mom

What would we do without our Mother’s? They birth us, nurture us, love us and guide us through life. Not everyone is a fortunate as I have been to have such a loving and devoted Mother. My Mom, my best friend, my confidant, my support system and above all my example of how to be a respectable classy woman. My Mom- Cookie was and always has been the Mom who lent her ear and warm heart to other children who didn’t have a strong example of a Mother figure in their life. From friends of mine to kids who she mentored -Cookie was always the Mom who exemplified the true meaning of what a Mother should be…selfless.

Not one day in my childhood, did she ever put herself before her four children. From the hectic schedules of four active children, to the demanding specific food choices of four children- Cookie made Motherhood look effortless. My friends would come over for dinner and say “you guys eat like this everyday for dinner?”, she would cook for hours every night and we always sat down together as a family.

Throughout my entire life, my Mom has been a constant supportive force in all aspects of my life. Always believing in me and my choices and never once doubting my ability to be the best person I can be. All these wonderful traits that Cookie exposed me to has made me want to be the best Mom that I can be. I always knew I was lucky to have my Mom, but becoming a Mom myself has given me a whole different perspective on our relationship. I am so blessed that my daughter, Olive James has my Mom, her Grammy to help guide her in life as she has me.

Take time today (actually everyday) to say thank you to your Mom, or an Aunt who stands in as one or anyone who gives you unconditional love. Because without these women, we are nothing, they shape who we are and give us the confidence to pass on the traditions we have learned from them to future generations.
