Winter Wardrobe Capsule is here

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

So as October comes to a close soon, colder weather is inching near. So far here on the East Coast, we have continued to have hot weather which is not the norm. I must say, this concerns me that a super crazy winter is almost evident. Predictions are, it could be a treacherous winter so warm clothing is a must for your winter wardrobe capsule. I am not saying this is all you need in your winter wardrobe, but these are some key items to add. Just double click photo to shop now.
Let’s start out with a couple of winter coats that are a must for your closet. Every winter wardrobe will be different based on the climate in your part of the country so these items will be more for the colder areas of the country. If you are a west coast reader or Florida, our fall wardrobe essentials may be more of what you are looking for.

Leather or Suede Jacket

A classic leather jacket is a must for every cool girls wardrobe. Pair it with a cute pair of jeans and tee or over a a nice blouse and pants for a night out. For warmer temperatures you can pair it over a sundress. I added a vegan leather option which I love as well.
Suede is one of my favorite materials and it  looks great with jeans and a cute tee. I threw in a velvet piece as well. To me, velvet looks so Victorian and expensive.

Classic Wool Coat

You may need a classic wool coat for the office, a night out to dinner or just to wear out to the mall on a cold, winter day of shopping. This wool blend is a great option for whatever the occasion. Pair it with jeans and scarf or over your office attire.

Puffer Jacket

I live in a puffer jacket for most of the winter months. For me personally, I stay warmest in them and they go well with my casual style during these months. They look best with jeans and a cute sweater or over your active wear but you can pair them with your work attire too.

Trench Coat

If you want something a little dressier, you can’t go wrong with a trench coat. They look good with your work attire or for a night out to dinner. Normally I am not a big fan of pairing them with active wear but jeans and boots would look good together with a trench coat.

Winter Boots

For anyone living in the eastern part of the country, you know boots are a must during the cold and snowy winter months. Many people purchase a good riding boot instead of snow boots, so that’s an option too or if you live in warmer climates, a good rain boot will work as well. I have listed a few options below.

Winter Accessories

A lot of people forget their head, neck and hands when they go outside, but it is really important to keep them all protected in the cold weather. We tend to lose a lot of heat from our bodies through these places, plus frost bite is horrible in the freezing temps. Here are a few of my favorite scarves, gloves, hats and ear muffs.

Jeans for any occasion

Who doesn’t love a great pair of jeans? Well unless it is against your religion, most people own quite a few jeans for any season. For winter climates I live in jeans and ankle boots or riding boots. Jeans can be worn with a casual outfit for dinner or dressed up for a night out on the town with friends. I threw in some great leather and vegan numbers as well.

Don’t forget a nice belt for your jeans

Nighttime Attire

When it’s cold and snowy out, all I want to do is lay under my electric blanket with a hot chocolate and watch Netflix. So it is really important for me to have comfy night attire. I love a nice silk robe or comfortable pajamas.  My dream is to one day live like Hugh Hefner. (Just his home and robe living) ?
