SO WHAT EXACTLY IS CLEAN BEAUTY?

Clean beauty is non-toxic products without all of harmful ingredients many beauty brands fill their skincare, makeup, shampoo and conditioners with. Unfortunately for all of us, the personal care industry is not regulated like it should be. Companies can make their beauty products with any ingredient they want without government oversight. How scary is that? Many are made up of toxic ingredients like carcinogens, synthetic fragrance and parabens which have been known to cause cancer. And the saddest thing is, it is completely legal to add these to products. It’s mind blowing to me this is still acceptable. One carcinogenic ingredient is formaldehyde and it is rarely listed on labels. We wanted to give our readers a heads up so you know what to look out for. XOXO
